Welcome to Next Level

    Install the Next Level app

Your hub for the whole programme. Book sessions, see workshops, check how many sessions you've got left. Add it to your home screen and it works like any other app.

iPhone: open the link in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Android or computer: open it in Chrome and install from the menu.

    Open app.nextlevelprod.co →

Sign in with the email you used to join. If it doesn't recognise you, message Max.

    Turn on notifications

Say yes when the app asks. That's how you hear about new workshops and get a reminder before each session. Missed the prompt? Switch it on in your Profile.

    Book your first session

In the app, open Sessions, pick a free slot and confirm. Times show in NZ time, so double check the conversion if you're overseas. Turn up with your project open and one thing you want to work on.

    Join the Discord

Where you ask questions between sessions and drop tracks for feedback. New workshops get announced here first. Introduce yourself once you're in.

    Download SonoBus and test it

We use it for high quality audio in online sessions, so Max hears your track properly instead of the squashed Google Meet version. Grab the standalone app, pick your audio interface in the settings, headphones on. Get it working now, not during your first session.

    Download sonobus.net →

Max gives you the group name and password in your first session.

If you get stuck

Post in the Discord or message Max directly. Don't sit on a problem for a week, that's a week you're not making music.

Good to know

The app
Three tabs: Workshops to browse and register, Sessions to book and track your 1 on 1s, Profile for your name and artist alias. Fill the alias in so Max knows whose track he's looking at.
Workshops
Weekly group sessions on Google Meet covering sound design, mixdowns, arrangement and more. Register in the app and the Meet link shows up on the day. Join on a laptop with headphones and bring questions.
Moving a session
Change it in the app if the slot's still open, or message Max in the Discord. Give as much notice as you can so someone else can grab it.
